Floor flange / base plate
If you need to install a fence on an existing concrete wall or slab, you're going to need to use baseplates, or floor flanges as they are also known.
There are several ways you can baseplate a fence to a concrete surface, including buying fence posts that have pre welded baseplates already attached to them.
However, if you want to save time, or you already have fence posts and you don't want to buy new posts with prewelded baseplates, you can also use a separate floor flange or base plate that has a section of pipe where you can install your post, often has a bolt to hold it in place, and already has a flat plate with pre drilled holes for bolting to your concrete surface.
There are floor flanges or base plates available for most fence types, including chain link fence, wood fence and even vinyl fence. So no matter what type of fence you want to install (and where you want to install it!) you should be able to find the right floor flange for your fence.
