Cantilever gate catch
Cantilever gates, especially those that are or will be automated, usually don't use the same kinds of gate latches as other kinds of gates.
It's much more common for cantilever gates to use a special cantilever gate catch, also sometimes known as a vee catch, that channels the gate into its proper closed position.
Some, like the cantilever gate catch pictured here, are used at the top of the gate, and include a third horizontal section that acts as an "anti-lift" mechanism to add security to the gate installation.
Cantilever gate catches are available in a variety of designs and sizes, to fit most types of gates. There are also options for chain link cantilever gates and higher security cantilever gate options.
