Straining wire
Straining wire is used on mesh fences with drilled tubular posts.
It is passed through the holes in the fence, usually at about 600mm along the height of the fence, and then pulled tight before being tied in place.
On fences that don't use top rails, the mesh is tied directly to these wires.
