Tension bands
Tension bands are preformed strips of steel that are used to hold tension bars in place on chain link fences and to ensure that chain link mesh is taut and smooth when installed.
Tension bands are installed on all end, corner, terminal and gate posts on chain link fence systems, and the quantity required depends on the height of the fence you are installing. They also come in a variety of sizes based on the diameter of your posts, and depending on the design of your fence and gates, you might need more than one size for your fence.

Like most chain link fence materials, tension bands are usually available in galvanized steel and in color-coated options to match PVC-coated chain link mesh. They are usually sold with carriage bolts too, so you have the hardware available to install them.
